Who we are
We are pelvic floor specialists who see and treat pelvic floor dysfunction all day long. Some physical therapists will begin treating pelvic floor conditions after a single weekend crash course. Or just see a few pelvic health patients each week while spending most of their time treating knee and shoulder pain.
This can lead to a "one-size-fits-all" approach where treatments are limited to basic techniques like biofeedback or generic Kegel exercises. While you may experience brief relief, the root cause of your symptoms often goes unaddressed, and they can quickly return.
At Restorative Pelvis our approach starts with a comprehensive pelvic floor and orthopedic assessment, allowing us to see the full picture of your health. This thorough evaluation helps us tailor a personalized treatment plan designed to address the root causes of your symptoms and get you back to doing what you love—pain-free and with confidence!
Meet Dr. Rachael
Dr. Rachael’s passion for pelvic health was sparked by a family member’s experience with severe pelvic pain after childbirth. Witnessing the life-changing impact of pelvic floor physical therapy inspired her mission to bring awareness to often-taboo topics and support those facing pelvic pain and other pelvic floor conditions.
She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia Southern University and holds a pelvic health certification through the Herman & Wallace Rehabilitation Institute. Additionally, she is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist. She can also fit pessaries.
Dr. Rachael utilizes a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, patient education, and personalized home programs to help her patients achieve their goals. Some of the diagnoses she enjoys treating include dyspareunia, interstitial cystitis, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and all forms of pelvic pain.
Above all, her goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where there is no such thing as TMI
